Do you dare to hike the most dangerous and terrifying hiking trail in the world?
Listed as a ‘forbidden attraction’, the Stairway To Heaven is an original hiking trail extremely dangerous that the authorities expect to close it down forever.
Also known as the Ha’ikū Stairs, the Stairway to Heaven consists of 3922 steps of pure adrenaline rush! Looking endless, the steps lead to 2480 feet up to the top of Puʻukeahiakahoe, an amazing mountain in O’ahu, Hawaii.
People come from all over the world to admire the magical views from the top. Unluckily, owing to many 911 calls, rescues and a landslide that took out part of the mountain, it remains illegal to hike here.
Despite the danger threating every one trying to hike these stairs, thousands of people come every year to experience the thrill.
As it stands now, it is illegal to hike the Stairway to Heaven. Even worse, the current landowner, The Honolulu Board of Water Supply, has threatened to remove the stairs entirely. The only way to officially veto this decision is to have the steps classified as a historic structure.
