Rooster too scared to enter the coop at night. When they learned why? OMG!

When they saw it they felt terrible, and knew something had to change.

The keepers at Apricot Lane Farms were concerned when Poodle Roo, one of their roosters, wouldn’t enter the coop at night.

They would frequently find him asleep in the pasture, which left him dangerously exposed to predators and the elements.

After returning him to the roost one night, disaster struck and they learned why he was so scared.

They also discovered that he was partially blind, and deaf.

Now he lives in the barn alongside other animals who stay temporarily to recover from an injury.

What they didn’t expect was lonely little Poodle Roo to become a friend and nurse to his visitors.
