Rob Kurdy was returning from a shark fishing trip with some buddies when he saw something odd floating in the New Jersey sound.
As their boat came closer, the fishermen were shocked to find a shivering deer swimming in circles 6 miles from shore.
They cautiously approached the buck and decided they couldn’t let the poor creature drown. After finding some rope, Rob was able to make a crude lasso and delicately dragged the buck to shore.
They couldn’t beach their craft, so one of the fishermen jumped overboard with a life vest to help drag the deer ashore.
It took nearly 3 hours, but the big buck was finally warm and rested enough to walk off on his own…
