Video footages of people getting close to hippos are very rare. As adorable as they are, hippos kill more people than any other animal in Africa. They are very aggressive and territorial and anything that gets in their way will be mown down, humans included.
However, this doesn’t mean that they un-feeling, cold-blooded killers. The video below features caregivers feeding two orphaned hippos that appear to be friendlier than ever. This is what usually happens when an animal is raised by loving humans.
