1-Ribbon Decor
One thing to do every fall is decorate a fall tree. Sometimes, pictures of family are added, creating a fall family tree. Other times, fall ornaments, pics, and ribbon are added. Consider these ribbon choices for this year:
- Leaf ribbon with subtle glitter.
- Solid cranberry rust with gold trim.
- Check ribbon.

When it comes to ribbons, use one, maybe two, or even three. A rule of thumb is to pair a solid with a check and then add in a design. It makes a fun trio.
2-Fall Decor Plates
The next idea is about using these pieces of plates. While they don’t necessarily scream fall, the colors are perfect for the upcoming season. They feature a colorful design with a little birds detail inside.

These would be really pretty as part of a tablescape. They could be placed on open shelving or a display cabinet. There are a few of the bowls and a couple of the matching plates. These are the salad plates.
If you wanted to use them for fall because of the brown and white, but weren’t crazy about the birds because that’s more spring, place a bowl on top. That way you’re kind of covering up the bird, but you are at least sharing the trim. That would be really pretty for fall as well.
3-Decorative Pillows
Next are pillows. Consider a two pack with plaid, burnt orange, brown, beige, and white, which is pretty much the color scheme for fall. If you buy a pillow that’s a pillow, you can keep standard inserts on hand and buy pillow covers. They take up less space for storage, allowing you to pile all of your pillow covers without having to store all of these different pillows.

If you see a pillow you love, but it doesn’t have a zipper, don’t buy it unless it’s really inexpensive and you can just donate it at the end of a season. Add your own insert so that you have a really good chop. Adding down inserts provides added comfort and that good chop.
Consider beautiful pillows with all the fall colors. Add in a solid to create a trio whether it’s ribbons or pillows. They would be really pretty and versatile, budget friendly.
4-Glass Pumpkins
Consider a glass pumpkin. The color is absolutely loved. While shades of rust or burnt orange are favored this time of year, incorporating shades of brown is also nice. What’s so fun about this is that it’s open on the bottom.

If you want to place a candle up inside of it, either a battery operated one or even twinkle lights, that would be really pretty. This is so versatile and would look good anywhere.
5-Throw Blankets

Consider a throw with a check or plaid pattern in shades of orange, brown, and white. You can tie it in together using those same beautiful fall colors. Another throw to consider has great texture, tassels at each end, and is very comfy. Pairing a solid with the plaid makes a really pretty pairing.
6-Faux Fall Stems
Consider a large piece that would be gorgeous on an island, dining table, console table, or entry table. Envision lots of fall stems spilling out of it.
7-Ambiance with Candles and Lamps
Ambience is key this time of year. Whether you go with real candles or with battery operated ones, consider a pumpkin candle. This can be part of a vignette and would be beautiful up on your mantle or bookcase. The sky’s the limit with this adorable pumpkin candle.

In addition to ambiance coming from candles, lamps are also great this time of year. Consider a rechargeable lamp with three different light options: cool, warm, and soft warm light. This could go on a kitchen counter or up on a shelf. If your cubbies and your bookcase are tall enough, it’d be perfect in there, or even part of a vignette on your island, or in your bathroom for that soft light at night.
8-Breadboards
Next, consider breadboards or cutting boards this time of year just because of the warmth and the texture that they add. They’re so pretty hanging from a hook or leaning against a backsplash. They can even serve as the base of a vignette, placing things on top of it.

It’s been observed that one is good, but two is better. Some have even been seen taking either a blade or a screwdriver and kind of roughing them up a little bit and add different colored wax just to give them more of a vintage look. This may be a fun project.
9-Versatile Textiles: Dish Towels
First are dish towels. They are so versatile. Whether you want to hang them from a hook on your backsplash, or if you have them on your island, you could layer it on top of a basket or a tray so it serves as an anchor for your vignette. Drape it over your counter by your sink or your oven. The possibilities are endless.

You could even put a napkin ring around these and just have them as a fun addition to your tablescape. Everybody needs these in their little fall arsenal because they are that perfect little pop of fall color where you need it.
10-Pot Holders

Next, consider a pair of pot holders. They can be layered in front of the dish towel just for added texture and whimsy. Obviously, you can use them for function, keeping the cute seasonal ones out on display.
11-Floral Decor
First is a little wreath. You can layer it in front of a mirror, place it on the back of your chair, or layer it in front of artwork. It could even be put at the base of the pumpkin or the battery operated pumpkin. It could be part of the vignette and is very budget friendly.

Consider faux fall stems. What is really nice about these is they are bendable. They would be beautiful by themselves in a base or as part of a larger floral arrangement. These would also be really nice on your mantle because they drape well. The branches can go every which way. The muted colors are also very nice.
Consider beautiful stems. These would be beautiful by themselves. You probably wouldn’t mix too much with it just because of how they look on their own.
Consider branches that will be beautiful as part of an arrangement or as part of your garland for your mantle. A large branch with muted colors and little acorn embellishments can make quite a statement coming out of a vase.

Consider some vibrant stems for outside use. They are reasonably priced and come in great colors. They can be used in black urns flanking the front door. A pumpkin can be placed on top or you can have the stalks coming up.
With these cozy home decor ideas, your living space can be easily transformed for the fall season. From textiles to floral arrangements, these budget-friendly tips will allow a warm and inviting atmosphere that embraces the beauty of autumn to be created.
