Last July during low tide, the rescue workers found a heartbreaking scene on the British Columbia coastline.An orca couldn’t make it to the open ocean in time before the water withdrawn and got stranded on the rocks.
With no way of moving this 5 ton mammal by hand and the location being inaccessible to heavy machinery, they had no other choices but to take shirts of their backs and keep the black and white beauty wet and cold. After 8 hours of hard work, the one thing that could save this whale finally arrived. When it slipped into the ocean I swear I jumped off my chair.
