This Snowboarder Gave Up the Perfect Powder Day for a Horse Rescue

On his 21st birthday, Rafael Pease planned to take his snowboard and ride some fresh powder up in the Chilean mountains, but his trip turned into a rescue mission when he spotted a horse stuck in waist-deep snow.

For four days the poor animal has roamed the harsh terrain and by the time Rafael spotted it, it was on a verge of giving up, weak and hungry, so he scratched his birthday plans and went to work.

Rafael turned his rope into a makeshift lead and dug the horse out using the shovel he carried for emergency situations. Watch the video down below!
