All of us will do our best to live a positive and honest life, doing good and the right things for others and for our beloved ones. So that when you leave this life you will be remembered as a great individual.
But to be honest, there are some people who let their greedy emotions take control of their actions hurting and betraying others without any hesitation in the way. And that is so selfish.
In today’s story, there is this man who lived his whole life working and saving money and he thought even in his death his money should be by his side. He also made sure that his wife promise him to fulfill his last wish. When he died and at his funeral, the wife found the perfect way to grant her husband’s wish and the idea was brilliantly good.
“There was a man who had worked all of his life and has saved all of his money.” The husband was a stingy person, he was only in love with his money. He talks, eats, and sleeps money. And in his final days, he said to his wife, “Now listen, when I die I want you to take all my money and place it in the casket with me. Because I want to take all my money to the afterlife.”
In the end, he forced his wife to promise him that when he dies she would put all his money with him in the casket. And he died eventually. “He was stretched out in the casket, the wife was sitting there in black next to their best friend. When they finished the ceremony, just before the undertakers got ready to close the casket, the wife said, ‘Wait a minute!’
She was holding a shoebox, she got closer and put it in the casket. After that, the undertakers closed the coffin.
“Her friend said, ‘I hope you weren’t crazy enough to put all that money in there with that stingy old man.’ She said, ‘Yes, I promised. I’m a good Christian, I can’t lie. I promised him that I was to put that money in that casket with him.’ You mean to tell me you put every cent of his money in the casket with him?’ ‘I sure did,’ said the wife. ‘I got it all together, put it into my account and I wrote him a check.’ ”
