Some rescues are more precious than others, and even though every life matters, saving this mare meant saving two.
VetRanch recently received a call about a pregnant mare named Nova who was being auctioned to be slaughtered. They knew something had to be done and rushed to rescue her and her unborn colt from terrible faith.
She was given a padded stall and better veterinarian care than she probably ever had and a couple of months later, adorable baby Orion made this world a little bit cuter.
I can’t stop crying. I am so glad there are organisations out there like you guys that save such beautiful animals. I just wish all those others animals could have been saved…
